A Nightmare Before Halloween in Portsmouth N.H.

The spousal unit and I visited Portsmouth, NH last weekend.  It's one of our favorite New England seacoast towns, picture perfect, successfully preserved with great restaurants, a charming downtown and much to do.  It was a sunny, warm October day.  We ate outdoors at a sidewalk boite called Michelle's run by a charming husband and wife.  After brunch, we walked along the city streets where many versions of Jack Skellington from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" were displayed on vintage lampposts.  They were simply made but very effective.  I asked my husband to take a few shots and here they are.  The first two are raw, right out of the camera.  Shot #3 is his tricked out version of #2.

Cool! I love all the pictures. Very spooky and dramatic, to say the least. :-)

Foxy, Brian, DJ, thanks! He probably wouldn't have taken any photos had I not insisted he shoot the first photo you see. It is a very compelling display in person and the arms & hands are wrapped with black plastic garbage bags. After he took that, he saw more displays and he was off and running. Then, he just had to photoshop #2 to create #3.

They are appropriately Halloweeny

Those are amazing pictures, especially the 'tricked out' one. I bet it's something else to be staring up at one of those gigantic things.
