ONE

After all the hoo-rah I made in this post about all the "ones" in my life this year,  I have to note today is the second of three I wish to acknowledge.   It is my husband's birthday.  All I can hear in my head is the "Chorus Line" song.  Damn!

Yesterday was our anniversary and I suppose if you discount the zero in the date, it could have been included in my obsession with the many dates that consist of "ones" this year.  But, it was notable for other reasons.

My husband is in the Florida panhandle, one of the few places in the Southeast escaping this incredible snow and ice storm.  He drove there from Jacksonville just to get out of the weather.  He has a 4 wheel drive truck and is a great driver but, nobody in their right mind wants to drive in snowy icy weather in the South!  I mean,  that's like a suicide mission.  So, he's enjoying a temperate climate on the "forgotten beaches" of western Florida while he shoots wild life and sunsets and whatnot.

That's pretty positive dontcha think?

You did a great thing as well as painful that you let your hubby go for some things he obviously wanted to do - I admire your generosity!
Hope that there are some things in life that give YOU pleasure, because one needs that too:)

Congrats on your anniversary. Each one is to be treasured! As for your husband- good for him for going where he wants to be.

Glad your husband is enjoying temperate weather. We're bracing for snow any minute now! Love A Chorus Line, it was the first broadway production that i ever saw.

Well I think you're some kind of wonderful for letting him go frankly. I'm having a hard time letting the love of my life have 'space'. Happy birthday to him.

Wow, driving from Jacksonville, FL to get out of the weather! This is one crazy winter. May your ONES keep you warm. :)

Yes, I have been slammed! The multiple blogs come at a time when work has been crazy busy too. But it's all good, and I look forward to visiting you more regularly. Can't wait to see Cole's photos from down there.

I don't have any snow but I'd like to be on the panhandle as well.
