New England Autumn

Autumn is the "most wonderful time of the year" in New England.  To prove it, here are impressions of our favorite season, taken by my husband, Cole Scott.

Gorgeous, colours so ripe they don't need photoshopping! Although I love the last one, it looks like an impressionist painting!

I've been to New England once about ten years ago and I've been dying to go back ever since. I think it's time.

Looks like the autumn colours are well on the way, up north! Planning on a jaunt out to the Berkshires, if I can time it right. Missed the peak last year, at our other fave spot :(

Wonderful photos here and especially that pond reflection :)

Baino: I have the "impressionist" one framed in our bedroom. I thought the same thing. It's really beautiful.

Brian: thank you. He has a few others of the forest floor. We have another one in our LR framed on a table & the frame is gold and the leaves look like gold w/ one ruby leaf in the center.

Ice: you should indeed visit again.

Otin: Where's home?

Bonnie: Thank you. He will be very pleased to hear your comment and compliment.

Subby: Berkshires are way south of me so they're probably just turning now. We haven't peaked yet either!

Jasmine: thank you for such a nice compliment.

JC: That's great! Can't wait to check it out.

All of you: My husband needs positive reinforcement and you're giving it to me to pass along. Thank you all. xoxoxo

I'm with Otin, it makes me homesick. I mean PA has lovely colors but it ain't New England. Great pictures.

Marguerite: Merci beaucoup! He is talented. He is very low key about it tho'.

Kate: I know what you mean. We lived in Ky and Va and I thought the colors were lovely there...then we visited here during Fall 86 and I was blown away. Never have I seen anything so breathtaking. It's a must see for all.

Of the three times I've been to New England, not one of them has been in autumn! It's definitely on my places to see list.

Gorgeous photos! Especially that last one!

Susan: the last one is my favorite too.

Your autumns are like a grand finale because I've been back there when there are no leaves... very depressing what with all the gray of winter and early spring. I guess you've been given extra brilliance in autumn to compensate...

VE: that is so poignant and so possible.

Wings: thank you!

Tom: you should take it. thank you.

Lovely photos. We've been having a very colourful autumn here, too. We've had a couple of cloudy days now but the light seems to have been sucked into the leaves instead...
