My husband and I are psyched. We are going to the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows this year; a To Do we've promised ourselves for the over twelve years we have lived in the northeast.Tuesday through Thursday we will be soaking up the tennis atmosphere at the Open. We have grounds tickets and can wander about all day, checking out matches on every court except Arthur Ashe. As this is the first week, we should see some pretty good tennis. We have two and a half days there and then off to Newport, R.I. to visit the Tennis Hall of Fame and a mansion or two. School is back in next week for much of the northeast so I don't think we'll be sharing the roads with too many vacationers. I can only hope the weather is good and we get some great photos. I have a new cell phone with superb camera and will now be able to download to my computer. 36 hours from now I am on the road! Woo Hoo!
