Road Trip Pics

My husband and our first born, Bryan, went on a road trip to visit our second born now living in Florida.  Enroute, they made some wonderful stops.

Bryan in front of our Richmond, VA home where both boys were born.  It's a 1906 Edwardian brick town home in an historic district known as The Fan.  My husband completely renovated it top to bottom.  We lived there ten years.  He was happy to see the place in beautiful condition just as we left it.

In the Everglades.  My husband took the Alligator Alley route from east to west to show Bryan where his great uncle once lived, built and rented air boats back in the 60's & 70's.  My husband's uncle was once the Florida state pistol champion.  He was a character out of a movie:  hard drinkin', loud, into doing "man"ly things like moonshining, hunting, shooting, etc.  I met him once.  He really was a character.

Son #2, Fletcher, snapped by his girlfriend and taken from Facebook.  He's moved into what my husband calls "a tear down with a million dollar view".  He lives in a little apartment on the water in Naples.  He is fifty feet from the beach and has a second floor balcony view to die for.  The building may be hurricane damaged or similar but he's happy as hell.

The men in my life, happy, bonding, sharing the love.

Awww...I love it. All three handsome men!

I think it's so fun to go back to a home where you once lived. Oh the memories that come flooding back. I haven't done that in a few years!

Hi! C.G...
I have to "echo" previous commenter's comments...How "lucky" you are to have such a photogenic family.
(Your husband, and 2 sons have "celebrity" good-looks!)

Thanks, for sharing...The pictures, and the family story too!

Pat, Brian, Nancy, Nana, Robyn: Thank you. I think they are pretty darn cute & they do have great smiles.

Betsy & Baino: It is interesting to see one another's photos. It's taken me a long time to get comfortable with this because of privacy issues & whatnot. I'm still a Sixties kid & totally believe the Govt is gathering info that is none of the *!#@+! business.

DeeDee: "celebrity good looks"...now you know why I'm not in the photo. Actually, I wasn't there. LOL :) Well, I'll just pass on that compliment. My husband keeps asking why I would publish a photo in which he looks drunk. I said, "Are you?" He answered, "No. Just old."

Laura, so glad you popped by. I thought you might enjoy the Fan home shot. Thank you for the compliment to my family of men. Must be that Virginia blood.

Your men do look happy. And, handsome. And, like they are well loved by their mom/wife.

You know I would have loved to see that old home in VA! ;)

Great pics of the guys! All of them are handsome!

I would give my left elbow to see the inside of your former VA home. I love that front entrance.

Father and son road trips are wonderful things.
