Yup, that's my dawg

He's older now.  He can't jump as high as he once did (scroll to bottom of the blog).  But his spirit is willing and his heart is strong.  He shadows my husband, Alpha Dog, with an almost pathological demeanor.  He jumps to attention every time the truck keys jangle.  He cries when we go away leaving him in the hands of his granny and our sons. He's happiest riding in the truck, head out the window, barking as cars go by.   He is probably 9-10 years old now, once a runaway pup, about 6 months old, when we took him in.

His name is Dewey.

He's awesome, funny, clownish and quite the athlete in his day.  Hope you checked out his younger self at the bottom of my blog.  He could "leap tall buildings with a single bound".

Same to you Dee Dee.  Thank you!

He's super talented, uses broad brush strokes, very prolific and loves color.  Double click on the tug and it takes you to his blog site.

He's a sweetheart. They become family members, and I can see him watching devotedly when you're gone, waiting for your return. :-)

Yes. He's just as lovable as he appears.

He waits for my husband, that 's for sure. We sometimes refer to him as "Old Shep ". (The dog I mean)

Dogs are the best friends and give us such devotion. Life without a dog would be just plain dull and lonely. Dewey is gorgeous!

A few years back we had to put our little dachshund too sleep. She was 17 years old and the most gentle little baby girl in the world. There is just something wonderful about a dog isn't there.

One day I hope that my little grandson has a dog too. He is only 9 months old right now, but every boy needs a dog to play with, and go fishing & camping with...and to tell his Secrets to.

Your post brought back a ton of wonderful memories for me.
Thank you!

In Him,
Grace
