I am so relieved that we can now move onto the jobs bill, but I watched yesterday, feeling I have witnessed something historic.

But your Senate can block it?

Deborah: To use an Obama Admin refrain, "Yes they can".

However, the Senate still has a 59-41 Democratic to Republican majority. They need 60 "Yay" votes to pass the bill and there's talk of breaking it into smaller parts and passing each part separately.

Also, it's going to be 4 years before the bill takes effect...too late to help me with my sons' coverage. One son, 21, is off my coverage because he's not in school. The other son, 22, is in school but will be off when he turns 24 or finishes school, whichever happens first.

I'm so tired of the Repubs fighting everything. Either help solve problems, or shut up and get out of the way!
