Being "over the hill" conjures up alot of jokes & cartoons and one liners. I searched them out on the internet and came across this interview with George Carlin, shot a little over six months before he died. It's about how not to become over the hill.

Has he really been gone that long already? Carlin's voice still echoes through our house daily as Mr. Conductor in the Thomas the Tank Engine stories my boys like.
Carlin was the best.
nice vid...become a writer...write everything down...i guess us bloggers will be around a while, eh? lol. happy tt!
He was so good!
I wonder if he got his wish for his tombstone? I hope so
Carlin was too hip for the room! And...I do write everything down. I keep a small notebook with me at all times.
Man he was a trailblazer. Great comedian.
He was the best. I guess I should write more things down.
Always a Carlin fan...still feel incredulous that he is gone.
He was THE MAN.
Bets: I KNOW! Seems like yesterday.
Willow: indeed he was.
Brian: Happy TT to you Too.
Liza: agreed.
Dreamhaven: there's always W.C.Fields tombstone "Frankly, I'd rather be in Philadelphia".
VE: He was, wasn't he?
Dufus: or is it MR/MS Dufus? Trailblazer is good.
Dakota: me too.
Jill: I know but there are a TON of videos out there.
Wings: Always will be. He & Pryor.
loved his dry humor.
Being prolific and productive, what a great way to keep busy, active and the intellect intact. I agree with HBO, we don't have the channel here but many of their programs. He certainly did make his 'mark' and yeh, he was too hip for the room.
He was just a VERY Smart man, not just a comedian. Dizz blond put it best when she classified him as a philosopher.
Your welcome about the comment:)
Love him! -J
how I miss him-an amazing intellect that made us laugh-his facilty with words and their meaning was amazing--he was definitely 'too hip for the room'
great post-c
I love, love LOVE George Carlin! Thanks for that!
California Girl, massive post! You rock! Still kicking myself, that I couldn't get to see him, when he was in my area...and then he was gone...for good...
Thanks Subby, I'm online now too.
