Something to Smile About

I don't know about you but the weather in New England has been dismal of late. Rain, rain and more rain. As New Englanders like to say, "If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes, it will change."

I've been waiting three days but it's still raining. So, I am bringing the beach to my blog, courtesy of the talented artist, Laura L. Trevey, from Richmond, Virginia.

I know. I live in coastal RI. What's up with this weather!? And I love Laura's seaside painting!

Hi Maya: I dunno. My son is down at Hampton Beach, NH and the Portland ME beach report just mentioned a 9 ft high tide. I called to make sure he's all right. They are going surfing and the kind of sea makes me nervous.

Brian: She's a talent, isn't she? I probably should have saved this for this week's TT, "Summer".

Love the watercolor. Would like to hang that on my wall to enjoy every day. Thanks for sharing. I hope your son has a safe day of surfing.

Ha! Sounds like Tasmania - four seasons in one day!

I sure hope your lovely picture inspires the east-coast weather to straighten up!

Wish you'd send some of that rain down here! We haven't had any rain in 3 weeks and the temperature hit 100 today in Cajun Country! I'm ready to do a rain dance. :)

Very nice watercolor!

Susan: she is talented. did you see her pillows?

LOL: she sells her work on her etsy site and it's incredibly reasonable. I think her limited edition water color prints begin @ $12-$14.

DT: glad to hear it. how are you doing?

Baino: if that is weather in Tasmania, then you definitely understand New England.

Pop: not so far...sigh.

Marguerite: I heard the lower mid-west is hotter than Hades. I hate extreme heat too. No wonder I'm a California Girl!

In New England, too, and it is a sunny day today! For now, at least. :)
