Prom Night

Snaps my husband took of my favorite girl,
my best friend's daughter.  They call her Breezy.
I've been watching her grow up since she was 8.
I don't have daughters and I am especially fond
of her.  She is just the kind of daughter I would
like.  Saturday night was her senior prom and,
as you can see, she looked adorable.  Her
dress is cocktail length, one of the few.  It was
a mob scene with kids, parents, relatives and
friends.  It was literally pouring rain but nothing
could dampen these kids' spirits!  After all, it's
a day you remember the rest of your life.

And if you don't think time passes quickly, here's a photo of her three years ago...

How things change.

I miss prom night around the manor. They certainly do grow up so fast! Breezy reminds me so much of my daughter, who's now 27.

Oh my, she is just gorgeous. I would be so worried if I had a daughter who looks as luscious as she does!! And yes, they all look absolutely adorable. Thanks for the great pictures.

They all look so nice when they scrub up well! She's a very pretty girl alright. You remind me of my sister in law. Three boys. Clare's the only girl on her father's side and boy does she get spoiled by her Aunt and Gran!

What a cutie! Are your boys in love with her? Or is she like a sister to them? Love her name and her dress.

Oh Brian, that is sweet. I would love to see photos of that. It really is a night to remember.

Willow: me too. My first son attended his in '05 in a Bill Blass tux my husband found on the web. He was so skinny and the tux must have been fairly old tho' in excellent shape. He looked like a throwback to the Sixties. He loved it.

DJan: I hesitated posting just because she is a beauty and the daughter of a friend but I haven't used her real name so...

Baino: She's also a nice girl; polite, loving, kind, and SMART! She's going to school to become a nurse practitioner.

Susan: when the boys were younger, I would tell them, "Some day you'll look at her and see real beauty." And they'd say stuff like, "Aw, Mom, she's just Ryan's little sister. She's a brat!"
NOT ANY MORE!!!

Tanna: I know. Isn't it the cutest nickname? I believe her mother started it but everyone calls her that.

She is gorgeous! Love her dress and nickname. I still remember my senior prom, as if it were only yesterday! It is one of those occasions that you never forget.
