Tiger Nike Ad & Stephen Colbert's Take

I may be sick of Tiger Woods and confused, amused or disgusted by his Nike commercial which, some in the ad industry consider "brilliant", but when Stephen Colbert takes him on, it's worth a laugh or three.

personally i think it is creepy...and i think it is time for the news media, ad agencies and tiger to move on. did you se the press he got for his frustrations yesterday? ack. so over it. how about we actually focus on someone that is faithful. but i guess that wont sell papers...or shoes.

Thank you for sharing this. I hadn't seen it, and it does show how awful that commercial is. I haven't seen the commercial either, but from what I've seen, my opinion of Tiger Woods has fallen even further. And you are in advertising, so even more kudos to you for sharing it!!

POBOX: cynical they name is Tiger.

Brian: "creepy" is a good description; I believe that word is being applied to this ad quite a bit.

DJan: no kudos for me...it's all about selling product altho' I'm wondering about the backlash from this. I think more people are in Brian's camp than that of Donny Deutsch who pronounced it "brilliant" on Morning Joe last wk.

Just when he couldn't do more to damage his image, he did. Nike's just as stupid as Woods. Well, almost.

Makes ya want to run right out and buy yourself a new pair of Nike's, doesn't it?... Not!

I had the spot on my blog, too.

Gotta love Colbert though.

CG: You have to hand it to Nike... they got the buzz. LOL! Like Brian, I thought it was a little creepy. But, I have ENJOYED all the parodies! I have laughed and chortled. In the end, I still hope for him to redeem himself. Sucker. Yep, that's me.

Colbert is on the money as always! This thing is ten ways of creepy! I can't believe anyone would give TW the time of day.

I predicted that in two years no one would even bring Tiger's problem up again...I was wrong, it may only take a year!

Weird, but so funny, too! Makes you wonder what their strategy was, doesn't it?! Such a beautiful Spring photo! There is a little surprise for you, over at my place, cher! Cheers!

I hadn't seen the ad. Somehow I'm not surprised by the creepiness of it.

Never pay attention to celebs, or to the media -usually that is. Both are not worthy of my time:):) It's the best way to survive living in L.A.!
