Dr. Seuss the Futurist

"The Lorax" debuts nationwide tonight on what would have been the 108th birthday of Ted Geisel better known as Dr. Seuss.

Published in 1971, "The Lorax"  was about "the loss of an Edenic world by an act of greed."   His motivation to write it, the back story, is fascinating.

My favorite Dr. Seuss story, "Horton Hatches the Egg".

I hope "The Lorax" message gets through too although your boys may be a bit young.  Enjoy.

I'll go see this movie, and Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! I read his books to my son for years and just loved them.
