Would You Live Here?

"10th Avenue"
by Cole Scott

This is Neil Denari's HL23 luxury condominium design.  It was, according to the design firm's press release, completed June 1, 2011.  My husband and I were in Chelsea during our visit to NYC.  We wanted to see the High Line.  We were rewarded with this awesome piece of architecture and my husband took this shot.

For HL23 information, interior photos, design amenities and pure enjoyment of the building which  cantilevers over High Line park, here's the architectural firm web site.

My answer to the blog post title question:  I would live there in a New York minute.

It's certainly an interesting looking building! I'll go read that press release and maybe I'll learn something. :-)

Great photo! I just went to the High Line, did you go? The water fountains talk to you! Seriously, they say: "Please don't lick the water fountains." Oh, and I'd live there too.

It looks like something I might have constructed. By accident. With a bubbleless plumb. So, yes.

To all: The building web site has photos of spectacular interiors and views. We were struck by the originality of the building just walking down the street. I'd love to see the inside.

Love the High Line. I don't recall this building! Maybe it wasn't there in 2010. I love the color of straw, and I'd like to see the inside too.

Ruth: we loved it too. What a great use of abandoned rails & space. The building is a surprise. You don't notice it at first. When you do, you cannot stop staring at it. Up close, it's not out of the ordinary but from this perspective (as in the photo) it's spectacular.

Chester: Thank you for visiting my blog! I will have to check out the "dancing house" in Prague. Please come again.
