I'm not afraid of the surgery, it's the post op those sucks the most (as you say in your next post). If it weren't for the logy effect of the morphine based drug, I'd be in good shape.<br /><br />I began walking with a cane about 3-4 days after I came home. I alternated between it and the walker but my physical conditioning pre-op was so good, I had a great deal of flexibility and movement and strength. That was my goal and it made a huge difference. The meds keep me out of it and they're switching me to something less depressing today. It's now 2 1/2 weeks. I am bored out of my mind but reading ALOT. I will probably try to get back to blogging although I just haven't wanted to bore anyone with the details. <br /><br />Thanks for the encouragement as always. This is painful. It's more painful than my hip replacements. At least, I've had a more difficult time controlling the pain and I am not a stoic. <br /><br />My husband had rotator cuff surgery and he was in pain for weeks. The operation was apparently s...Splendid recovery. The operation was apparently successful. I did not have a general but rather spinal and nerve blocks. They are easier to come out of. Pain was out of control though.
